Bestselling author John Edward has captivated audiences worldwide with his unique and powerful psychic skills. Now, in his long-awaited new book, he shows people how they too can tap into their psychic selves.
Infinite Quest will help readers to develop their intuition and renew their own latent powers, so they can confidently take chances and make choices. By following certain guidelines and intuition-building exercises, we can learn to get in touch with our Spirit Guides and identify the psychic energy around us on deeper levels. Edward also discusses how technology can work with our “sixth sense,” and explains how to use divination tools. Like his new eponymous website, Infinite Quest is truly a “portal to all things metaphysical.”

Bestselling author Edward (After Life) begins with a letter to the reader: “I turned forty last year, and it is my twenty-fifth anniversary of being a psychic medium.” Now Edward urges readers to upgrade their own psychic powers: “Think of this entire book as an experience designed to be an earthly guide to a spiritually energetic Divine process.” Guidelines and instructions include how to “create a metaphysical workplace in your mind” as an inner sanctuary for spiritual practices. One can tap into energy currents and visualize alternative outcomes: “potential realities for you that will cross and intersect with others in your life.” Edward’s exercises for learning how to tune in to these potentialities draw on simple analogies, such as the Weather Patterns Exercise: notice when your sunny mood changes to “partly sunny” or “cloudy,” and track what environments and people cause these changes. With an understanding of psychic self-defense, Edward says, one can prepare for a psychic vampire attack by someone needy who sucks the psychic energy out of you. Edward’s many followers and others seeking spiritual harmony will be eager to experiment with the exercises outlined here.

Considered one of the top ten psychics in the world today, television star Edward (After Life: Answers from the Other Side) adds a self-help book to his accomplishments. He includes sage advice such as "In order to move forward, we need to understand the past," and "A person has to truly want to make the change before it can begin to happen." As you can see, much of the book reads like many other self-help titles, but this one comes with an unusual twist--his belief that we all have psychic ability that can be tapped into for help from our "Spirit Guides." To assist us in contacting the psychic side of our natures, Edward adds many exercises including meditation and visualization. He has a folksy, "one of the boys" charm, which comes across in his writing. VERDICT Unfortunately, this book has little to offer as a self-help title, and Edward's advice on developing psychic intuition is murky. However, this should be popular with the millions of readers fascinated by psychics, so large libraries will probably want it.--Mary E. Jones, Los Angeles P.L., CA
